HOW? WHAT IS IT THAT MADE PEOPLE TICK BEFORE THE PANDEMIC AND THAT NOWADAYS WITH OUR CURRENT SITUATION IS NOW NOT THAT WELL WELCOME DUE TO THE PANDEMIC AND AFRAID BE JUDGE AS BEING OUT OF TOUCH TO OUR CURRENT SITUATION?  CELEBRITIES, INFLUENCERS, FASHION.

CIVIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL MOVEMENTS IS WHAT WE HAVE TO OUR ADVANTAGE AS WELL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PSYCHOLOGICALLY AND COMMON SENSE, INDIVIDUALS ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING SOME NOSTALGIC EMOTIONS AT THE SAME TIME FRUSTRATION AND FEELING HELPLESS. 

WITH THAT BEING SAID, WE TRIED TO DESIGN A VERSITILE “FACEMASK” WE NAMED MASKARF. 

A PRODUCT THAT IS A MASK AND SCARF COMBINED THAT CAN BE WORN IN MULTIPLE WAYS.

IT’S ALSO SO PROTECTIVE BY 2 LAYERS OF ECO FRIENDLY SUSTAINABLE FABRIC AS WELL A REMOVABLE ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FILTER, BENDABLE NOSE BRIDGE WIRE, AND ADJUSTABLE STRAPS FOR A BETTER FIT. ALSO TO HAVE A SENSE OF NORMALCY, THIS WAS CREATED TO BECOME A FASHIONABLE STATEMENT PIECE TO WEAR AND BECOME #NOTYOURBASICMASK #NOTYOURAVERAGEMASK.

THIS IS AN ACCESSORY THAT CAN BECOME A FAMOUSLY TRENDY STATEMENT THAT EVERY PERSON WOULD WANT TO WEAR- THIS IS A UNISEX VERSITILE MASKARF

  • How we could use new materials to make masks easier to wear while exercising.

While exercising and wearing mask materials must be breathable, lightweight, and absorbent.

As well as practicing sustainability when it comes to choosing materials

  • How we could retain the functionality of masks, but without it looking like a mask.

Going back to the second question above is… all about Influence in social behaviors

This is all about being persuasive, how is a human being affected psychologically? What it is that they are missing, craving, and wish they didn’t take for granted in a pre-pandemic time.

This is where we want to bring a fashionable versatile functional design piece, yet making a significant impact on science and as well as the environment.

A mask and scarf combined that can be worn in multiple ways, made with eco-friendly sustainable materials, a fashionable item, a statement piece.

  • How we could deal with sensing infection even when someone is asymptomatic.

Our current mask carries a thermometer strip on the side visible to people.

The thermometer changes color depending on your body temperature. This allows other individuals to see their temperature and be more cautious.

We would love to advance in this area to be more precise and yet keep it fashionable and wearable. A piece that everyone would love to have.

  • How biosensors could help alert to contamination.

My plan with help of scientists and technology is to develop an eco-Friendly sustainable material that would be able to change to a specific color when sensing microbial contamination and maybe contagious and dangerous.

  • How material innovation in masks can be used to remove nanoparticles.

We are currently using a sustainable eco-friendly 100% Tencel Lyocell

Made out of eucalyptus. with our current advance science and technology combined

We can find an easy and practical way to tackle all these together without hurting the environment.

  • How we would extend the life of masks by sensing functionality failures.

A facemask should be defined by three basic rules

1.Socially: fashionably adequate piece to create a sense of normalcy

2.Environmetal Ethical: well made out of eco-friendly sustainable materials to stay connected with current environmental challenges we are experiencing as well make an impact on saving lives and making a fashion statement

3. Well-being balance: We have to persuade and target our mask as a piece of well-grounded balanced human being, in touch with humanity, as well still have some fun and be creative.

I'm a designer that has been working in the fashion industry for 15 years.  I recently lost my job due to Covid-19 so I decided to take action to get started with this.

I've done many studies from retail analysis to fashion forecast trends.  Through all these years I've been paying careful and meticulous attention to how the industry and the consumer interact as well the economy.

Our society and lifestyle play a big impact on consumer behavior therefore I believe there's a way we can make an impact by persuading and creating demand and an item like this.
