Akane joined IGES in 2020 after working for a private company, government agency and NGO including 6 years stay in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Her area of specialty is sustainable tourism development and rural planning. Currently she is mainly engaged in developing capacity building programs of climate change adaptation in the Asia-Pacific.
